This Privacy Policy describes how TACTIC Academy (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application (the “App”).

1. Information we collect

When you use the App, we collect the following categories of data:

Account information (when you sign up)

  • Email address
  • Display name
  • Authentication credentials

Profile information (entered by you during onboarding)

  • Learning level
  • Investment goal, time horizon, and risk profile
  • In-app preferences

Usage information

  • Lessons completed, missions claimed, achievements earned
  • In-app trades (paper trading — not real money)
  • In-app currency balances (TACT coins, XP)

Purchase information

  • Subscription status (active, expired, cancelled)
  • Product identifier and purchase date
  • We do NOT collect or store your credit card or payment details — those are handled entirely by Apple.

Device information

  • Device model, OS version
  • Anonymized device identifiers used for fraud prevention
  • App version and locale

2. How we use your information

We use your data exclusively to:

  • Provide the core App functionality (lessons, missions, paper trading, progress tracking)
  • Manage your subscription and unlock paid features
  • Personalize your learning path
  • Provide customer support
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your data for:

  • Targeted advertising
  • Sharing with data brokers
  • Cross-app or cross-website tracking
  • Selling to third parties

3. Third-party services

We share limited data with the following processors who help us run the App. Each is bound by data processing agreements:

4. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. tax records for subscription receipts).

5. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Export your data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing

To exercise these rights, email privacy@tacticacademy.com. We respond within 30 days.

6. Account & data deletion

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing support@tacticacademy.com with the subject line “Delete account”. We confirm within 7 days and complete deletion within 30 days.

7. Children’s privacy

The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it immediately.

8. International transfers

The App is operated from France. By using the App, you consent to your data being transferred to and processed in France and any country where our service providers operate, including the United States. We use Standard Contractual Clauses where required by GDPR.

9. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, encryption at rest) and follow security best practices. No system is 100% secure — we will notify affected users without undue delay in the event of a personal data breach.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or via email. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision.
